Normally, membership of the Guild of One-Name Studies costs $25.00 and covers up to a year with renewal on November 1, 2011. This current offer will cost $26.00 but will include a full year's extra membership, renewal not being due until November 1, 2012.
The aim is to attract even more new members, to encourage these members to stay with the Guild for longer and to appreciate and fully use the benefits available to members.
Anyone going to the Colorado Family History Expo can call at the Guild of One-Name Studies booth (#305) where any questions about the Guild will be welcomed.
For those unable to get to the Colorado Family History Expo at Loveland, the extended membership offer will also be made globally for just 3 days from Friday June 24 to Sunday June 26 on the Guild website at:
www.one-name.org/colorado-offer.html. Details of all the Guild facilities can be found at: www.one-name.org/guildsvces.html.
The Guild of One-Name Studies has a toll-free helpdesk for anyone to call the Guild to find out:
- more about undertaking a One-Name Study
- the benefits of joining the Guild of One-Name Studies, and the assistance members of the Guild can provide to anyone researching their family history on any of the 7,800 plus names currently being researched
Des Gander, the Guild’s Publicity Officer, said today:
“The Guild has so much to offer new members that it can take time for them to appreciate what’s possible. We’re hoping an extended membership offer will provide even more of an opportunity for those serious about surname research, to have fun at the same time, and to really experience the Guild.”
